in the context of the fediverse, i don't really care about bluesky or twitter. i like the fediverse because it's much more personal. visibility allows you to rougly scope discussions to circles, instances allow for differing cultures and standards that often don't intersect, the jank filters for people who are willing to put in some amount of effort to participate
i could never use twitter, or bluesky, or any other similar platform for socialization because they're just not built for it. they're built for posting bangers and keeping up with influencers and hearing about news. modern activitypub is, in terms of user experience, terrible as a twitter replacement, but i don't want it to be one
the lack of a constant stream of news has made my experience here much more healthy than on twitter. the content warning culture encourages me to respect my own boundaries on what i want to see. everything is so much more human than the content farms that many platforms have become. that's why i like it here
bluesky and the fediverse are two great platforms, just at different things. i wish people would stop acting like they're equivalent. i wish it was okay for the fediverse to "just" be the fediverse

when you type a command into the terminal you should have to do it really quickly and precisely because while you're typing you're leaving yourself open for the shell to counter with its own command and potentially do a devastating combo on you
“Am I really disabled?” is not a question able bodied people ask themself ☺️
