There are some anarchists out there that like to claim that by voting in somewhat "fairly" (eh) held representative elections, you're making no difference at all, only showing your alleged support for the system.

I believed the same for quite a while.

But, honestly, through some discussions, also with a partner of mine, one thing became clear at least for me:

The system has tipped the scales against those who oppose voting by amplifying the voice of those who do. That's why the outright fascist parties are now calling for voting more than socdems, which is highly unusual in my area, but given the circumstances, makes perfect sense for them.

So, yes, while with voting, you take part in the system... Voting for the least evil representatives, whatever you consider that to be, will at least be a hinderance to the fash.

So wherever the whole "true anarchists don't vote" thing came from, it must have been some sort of psyop by an authority that wants to keep the system in place. And damn, is it working well. People are even making up reasons like "oh but voter turnout is important, if it's low then the system will fall apart", which, lol, authorities aren't going to dethrone themselves after the voting turnout has gone to shit. Which isn't happening anyway.

So, yeah, EU citizens that can still go vote... Go vote, fuck's sake.

Edit: I do strongly believe there was a psyop at play here but then again, I don't know if that's the case so don't take that as a fact thanks
