SYN/ACK @SyntheticAutumn, the ingredients were a 3M 6800 full-face respirator clone (priced at approximately ⅕ of the original) and window darkening foil. tools and consumables were scissors, pencil and sellotape.

after disassembly of the respirator, the transparent visor is easily accessible. after marking and cutting out a crude overapproximation of the visor surface from the foil, it is fixed to the visor using sellotape and the approximation is refined until the foil shape is 0 to 1 mm shorter than the visor itself. the silicone and hard plastic layers of the respirator are re-attached and the procedure is complete.
